Don't Want to Wait in Line For Disneyworld Attractions? Fastpass!
Do you know what guests often complain about in Disneyland? The long lines! Waiting in line for the rides you want to try could take all day, especially during peak seasons. And, if your vacation is only for a day or two, the last thing you would want to do is spend three-quarters of your time waiting in line. So, how do you beat the long line?
Beth Haworth, author of The Ultimate Disney World Savings Guide, points out many interesting ways to ditch the waiting game in Disney parks. For instance, do you know where you line up for (read: the left line versus the right line) can make a lot of difference on your waiting time? Or that there are hidden entrances that will save you walking time and let you bypass the crowd?
Of course, you'll have to read the book to find out about Haworth's strategies for beating the queue. But here's one way to beat the lines you don't have to do any reading to learn: Fastpass.
The Fastpass is a virtual program for lines that eliminates waiting time for the most popular rides. It's free (it's included in your regular admission), and it's easy to use. But here's the catch: you can only have one pass at a time - unless, of course, two hours have passed since you picked up your last Fastpass. So make the most of your Fastpass - here's how.
1. Do some research before you hit the parks. Which Disney attractions are Fastpass-enabled and which aren't?
2. Plan ahead and go to the park early, especially during peak seasons. This way you can score Fastpasses with quick return.
3. Check the posted line standby time. If it's a short time, don't waste your Fastpass on it!
Fastpass can help you make the most of your time. If you use it wisely, you can squeeze in a ton of Disney attractions into your day!
